The short version

  • This website doesn't track you. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party scripts or fonts.
  • We only know what you choose to tell us, such as when you email us.
  • We never sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
  • Client data is never used to train AI models, never shared between clients, and never used for anything except the work a client hired us to do.
  • Client engagements are covered by a signed contract with stronger, specific commitments. Where the two differ, the contract wins.

1. Who we are

Deskside LLC ("Deskside," "we," "us") provides forward-deployed AI engineering services to investment firms. This policy covers the website at desksidelabs.com (the "Site") and how we handle personal information we receive outside of a client engagement. You can reach us at hello@desksidelabs.com.

2. What we collect

Information you send us. If you email us or use the contact form (which opens your own email app), we receive what you include: typically your name, work email, firm, and message.

Basic server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records technical request data, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. These logs are used only to operate and secure the Site and are kept for a limited period set by our host.

What we don't collect. The Site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools, and loads no content from third parties. It doesn't use browser storage to identify you.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry and, if you ask us to, discuss working together.
  • To keep the Site running and secure.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We don't use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions, and we don't add you to marketing lists without your consent.

4. How we share it

We don't sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting and email, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing their service to us.
  • When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
  • In connection with a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy's protections continuing to apply.

5. Information we handle for clients

When we work for a client, we handle its data (including positions, research, licensed third-party data, and communications) only as that client's service provider and only under our written agreement. In summary, we commit that:

  • Client data is used only to deliver that client's services.
  • Client data is never used to train or improve AI models, ours or anyone else's.
  • Client data is never shared with, or used for, any other client.
  • By default, our systems run inside the client's own environment, and we use AI model providers only under terms that prohibit training on the data and, where available, retain none of it.
  • Client data is returned or deleted when the engagement ends.
  • We never trade on, or disclose, any client's confidential or material non-public information.

6. Retention

We keep inquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and delete them within [24] months if no engagement follows, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Client data retention is governed by the client agreement.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access limited to the people who need it, and multi-factor authentication on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please don't send us material non-public information or other highly sensitive information through the Site or by unsolicited email.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@desksidelabs.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California, the UK, or the EU), you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor them and won't discriminate against you for exercising them. We respond within 30 days.

9. International transfers

We're based in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States with the protections described here.

10. Children

The Site is for business use and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If we make a material change to how we use personal information, we'll say so clearly on this page before it takes effect.
